Outreach Program

Tannery Pond Concerts opens its doors to allow children and their parents to attend rehearsals free of charge. Time, date and duration are variables but rehearsals usually occur either the morning or afternoon on the day of a concert. Call (888) 820-1696 for more information.

A special opportunity! We are inviting youngsters to see and hear world-
famous concert artists as they prepare for their evening’s performance at the Tannery on Saturday, September 14th.

Todd Palmer, clarinet; Tara O’Conner, flute; James Austin Smith, oboe;
June Han, harp; and Doug Balliett, double bass, as well as The Omer String Quartet. You will hear some of these musicians rehearse for Saturday evening's concert!

When and Where?
Plan to arrive at 3:15 and stay about 1 1/2 hours. The rehearsal is held in the Tannery on the grounds of Mount Lebanon Shaker Village and the Darrow School at 110 Darrow Road in New Lebanon, New York.

If your child is interested in learning more about classical music or plays an instrument, this would be an invaluable opportunity to see how fine musicians prepare for a performance. And, perhaps, you could attend the actual performance at 6:00 pm (kids are free, always) and compare it to the rehearsal.

This invitation is extended to kids accompanied by an adult.

Please RSVP to Cindy Puccio, Tannery Pond Concerts Board Member, 518-392-8220.  Please leave a message – we need a way to contact you if there are any changes.
